FAQ'S

Everything you need to know about ordering from Kick's Kakes

  • How do I go about making an order?
    - Fill in the Contact Kick form or send me a direct message on instagram/ Facebook

  • How far in advance should I order?
    - I need as much notice as possible but at least 2 weeks (orders will be taken subject to availability)

  • Do you make fondant covered cakes?
    - I’m a buttercream gal all the way, no fondant here

  • How do I make a payment?
    - A bank transfer before collection, some cakes may be asked for a deposit to secure the booking

  • Do you make Vegan cakes?
    - At the moment no, there are vegan speciality bakers out there who are slaying it, I’m happy to point you in their direction.

  • Can you make vegetarian cakes?
     - Yes, this is something I can accommodate

  • Do you cater for deadly nut/wheat/dairy allergy’s?
    - Your health & safety is the most important thing to Kick’s Kakes. All bakes are prepared in the same kitchen where gluten/dairy/nuts are present. I would advise you to find a bakery who specialises in allergen free bakes.

  • Do you deliver?
    - I’m a one man band at the moment so all orders are collection only, unless previously discussed (delivery charge will apply)

  • How do I travel with my cake?
    - I recommend you place your cake in the footwell or boot of the car as it is the flattest space. Try not to travel with the cake on a passenger seat as it can cause the cake to slope during transit. Make sure your air con is on, especially in summer. Keep your cake out of direct sunlight.

  • How do I store the cake once home?
    - As you know butter eventually melts, your cake needs to be stored in the fridge especially in warmer months. During winter months you can leave the cake in a really cold room (garage, car) as long as it stays flat.
